Later this month, the Gardeners of the Galaxy podcast will celebrate its fifth birthday with episode 67.
Hello, Gardeners of the Galaxy, and welcome to the latest Sunday Supplement!
The fifth anniversary of the show is coming up later this month, and I thought it would be fun to do something a bit different and look at the future of astrobotany, not the past.
Can you help? I'm interested in hearing what you think.
Perhaps you're a student, dreaming of a future in astrobotany. Or you're working on an experiment you hope will fly in the next few years. Maybe you're a science fiction writer with a story about a plant-filled spaceship. Or a poet imagining a world where seeds travel to the stars. You could be a member of a culture whose traditional plants haven't flown to space...yet…or simply an armchair enthusiast still waiting for your favourite plant to take to the skies.
Whether they're rooted in reality, or pure flights of fancy, I'd love to include your ideas in the show, so send them over! (Bonus points if you can record a voice note I can play in the show. 🤩)
